Student Printing
Introduction
It's easy to print from over 50 labs and classrooms or from the Norse Print Stations across campus with the Pay for Print system. It's also affordable--in fact, most students find the free print allowance is all they need.
Norse Print
Students who wish to print to university printers from their own devices, on or off campus can use Norse Print. A student can send emails to Norse Print, then go to a Norse Print Station located next to public printers, enter their credentials, and pick the emailed documents that they want to print. For detailed instructions, please visit: http://norseprint.nku.edu.
Free Print Allowance
Each semester--spring, summer, and fall--full time students receive $12 in free prints. That's enough for 150 pages of black-and-white prints. Part time students receive $6, and students enrolled in the winter term receive $2 in free prints.
If you need to print more than your free print allowance, just add money to your All Card to continue enjoying the convenient printing options on campus.
Note: Faculty and staff have an unlimited free printing allowance. The system will ask you to accept the charges, but your All Card will not be charged.
Printing Charges
Black and white printers on campus cost $0.08 per page. Color printers cost $.50 or $.75 depending on the location. You will always be notified of the total cost to print your documents before you accept the charges. You may also check your current Account Balance at any time.
Printing Problems
If a printer is jammed or not functional, please see the lab assistant on duty or call the IT Service Center so we can resolve the issue as soon as possible.
We apologize if an error or malfunction caused you to be charged for prints that you did not receive or were not a usable quality. If this is the case, please see the lab assistant on duty or fill out an online Request for Appeal so we may improve our service and refund your charges.
