Password Security Tips
Your Password is Your First Line of Defense
Passwords are the first line of defense for all users. If someone knows your password, all other security is useless! We require password changes at least every 90 days on the NKU network. This policy is intended to help keep your computer and NKU networks, applications, email, and data more secure. At no time and under no circumstances should you share your password or login using someone else's password. For more information, see our Acceptable Use Policy.
We remind you that maintaining the security of your password is your responsibility and that no one at Northern Kentucky University knows or can retrieve your password for you. If you have forgotten your password, the IT service center can assist you with a reset. Call 572-6911 or visit us on the web at it.nku.edu/itsc.
