Training and Education
Technology education is provided to faculty/staff and students on a variety of subjects. Software education on blackboard, Microsoft Office and other products, technology security, technology orientation training, and office productivity are just a few examples of the training available. Courses will be offered in the ITSC as well as in department computer labs, dorms, etc.
Innovations
The Innovations area of the ITSC is dedicated to the support and advancement of technology-enhanced teaching and learning. Through collaborative partnerships with technology manufacturers and vendors who have goals in line with the University???s strategic technology direction, we will introduce innovative hardware and software products. These products and manufacturer information will be on display in the ITSC and key locations throughout campus for assessment by faculty, staff, and students. We anticipate these services to be available by the beginning of the fall semester.
Goal of the ITSC
Our goal is to provide the university campus with the best technology innovation environment, training, and customer service of any higher education institution. We will achieve this by implementing innovative and effective technologies through a collaborative approach. As an example, we have implemented technology based assistance methods (remote assistance, instant messaging, etc.), making it easier for you to request assistance by centralizing technology services, and expanded our training offerings. As we progress with our new approach, we encourage you to regularly check this website for updates and training schedules.
