Web Accessibility
Northern Kentucky University's goal is to provide to all web users, including those with disabilities, a functional, accessible, interactive web presence. To meet this commitment, we will comply with the requirements of Section 508.
Web Accessibility Guidelines:
The Web Accessibility Guidelines are an effort to make the University's website and pages more accessible to not only those with disabilities, but any person who visits or interacts with our website. The standards and guidelines are to serve as a framework to help the individuals who are responsible for publishing any content on the university website be in compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act Amendments of 1998 (29 U.S.C. 794) and the accessibility standards issued by the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board. to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Purpose of the Guidelines:
The goal of the Web Accessibility Guidelines is to establish minimum web accessibility standards for campus web pages and strives to help campus web authors to achieve compliancy. Although minimum Web Accessibility Guidelines are addressed, Northern Kentucky University encourages web authors to exceed these minimum Web Accessibility Guidelines.
