Need to determine if a record is electronic?
Kentucky Departments for Libraries and Archives suggest that very few records are. E-mail is not considered an electronic record because it has a print equivalent, as do most of the reports prepared on campus. A webpage, however, is "born digital" and has no such equivalent.
To learn more about electronic records and retention periods for web pages and other “born digital” documents, visit http://www.kdla.ky.gov/ and check out the State University Model Records Retention Schedule. |
