Meet Susan Tomboly

Building NKU's new website

NKU has re-built nearly its entire website, keeping Susan Tomboly very busy.  The Web Rebuild project is coming to an end, but not without a lot of hard work from IT’s Research and Development team.  Susan has been extremely instrumental in making this extensive project run smoothly.

Susan is a Senior Programmer Analyst and has been at NKU with the IT Research and Development team since 2007. Besides implementing the new website for NKU, she is also the Serena Collage administrator.  Serena Collage is the web content management system the university uses.  She helps departments use Serena Collage, which enables them to make their own updates to their department’s website.

Even though Susan’s individual contribution has been invaluable, she values her team greatly.  She notes, "Everything I do requires the cooperation of others, both on my team and other teams."

Susan accepts all challenges thrown her way because she thrives on the constant changes in technology. She believes NKU is a great place to work if you appreciate development and advancement.When asked what her favorite thing is about working at NKU she replied, "It is such an interesting place, with something new and exciting always going on."

With the web rebuild project drawing to a close Susan will be involved in selecting a new content management system and investigating a student social networking portal.  She envisions a future at NKU, with continued involvement in a new web developments.
