Supporting the University Community
Our area is responsible for supporting the university community through the NKU website and application systems residing on the web which support students, faculty, and staff.
We are also involved in evaluating and implementing web technologies to better serve our students and faculty.
NKU Website
- We have been in the process of rebuilding the NKU website for the past two years. As a result of this project, a content management system (CMS) is now in place.
- Supporting end user training and information for the cms can be found at http://webhelp.nku.edu/.
- As sites are rolled out, training on the CMS is provided by the Information Technology Service Center.
- Along with the web rebuild, we have put in place a user group for discussing/implementing additional functionality. The website for this group called Web ++ is http://webplusplus.nku.edu/.
- Videos, easier process for surveys/web forms, and other such projects fall into this scope. Faculty presently are using http://video.nku.edu/ for video uploading and placement in their Blackboard courses for their students.

Web Applications
A multiple of custom applications have been developed in support of the students, faculty, and staff.
