Policy and Compliance
The Information Technology Policy and Compliance area provides IT Security and helps coordinate IT policies, guidelines, and procedures for NKU and the offices of the Chief Information Officer.
Security
The Office of the CIO IT Security group promotes the use of security in all areas of technology usage across campus, such as anti-virus software, use of strong passwords, firewalls, backups, as well as assist campus partners with security assessments, assist with security incident response and recommendations in remediation of IT security issues. The IT Security area is additionally tasked with providing security awareness and cyber-security "best practices" through education and awareness programs for students, faculty, staff and university guests. We would like to ensure a cyber-safe campus and would like to remind you to BE SAFE! out there.
